Navigating Changes with Truman

It’s been a month since the final Avita Yoga class at Yoga Loft. We hoped to transition to another place for Sunday classes quickly, but it hasn’t manifested yet. Perhaps my greatest offering at this point is in sharing my process, as I know it is part of the life journey we all have in n. When do we slow down? When is there enough? How do we handle life’s transitions? Some seem forced, while other shifts appear to be more voluntary. How do we trust and follow the feelings, nudges, and prompts for change, especially when moving away from something we love? What are the costs of not following that Guidance?

The questions we ask are often more important than the answers, which are often delayed! I don’t know what’s next. For now, I’ll have time with our daughter in Minnesota. I’ll help my mom with her transition into an independent living facility. I’ll continue to offer online classes and share helpful insights and experiences along the way. Travel will be part of it, so you’ll get to “practice at Yoga Loft” as I occasionally bring pre-recorded classes into the stream.

Many of you have been through significant life/occupation changes where you left something good. This is my first. I can feel the power of stepping into the unknown that only comes with leaving the familiar and trusting the Guidance. Have you watched Truman Show lately? I love pulling spiritual insights from movies, and a visiting friend suggested the movie a few nights ago. If you doubt trusting the inner feelings and outer prompts, then sit back and let Jim Carry show you the way! Despite the comfort of the familiar, he could not resist the lure of knowing the truth. Regardless of our life situation, this higher calling is something we all want. It pulls us out of our world and into the joy and adventure of knowing Who we are.

As always, I’m open to your thoughts and questions. I love hearing from you. While all good teachers make themselves unnecessary, Avita Yoga is best when led through the shapes as a moving meditation. As long as it’s helpful, I hope you’ll stay with me. I’m here for you.

With love and light,
Jeff
