A Message from Jeff Bailey

A high-speed ski injury to my hip forced me to face my pain and find a better way. In 2014, I was given a gift: the realization of the healing power of compression for joints and bones. Today, I am more mobile than I was in my 20s. Avita Yoga has transformed my life, and I’ve seen thousands experience the same—less pain, more mobility, and renewed vitality.

Doctors said I’d need a hip replacement, just as they did for my arthritic knee. But I knew there had to be another way. While modern medicine often jumps to surgery, every doctor agrees the body is designed to cleanse and restore joints—they just haven’t trusted the process. Surgery has its place, but don’t let it be a foregone conclusion before trying Avita Yoga.

Jeff’s life has centered around yoga. Since his first experience with yoga in 1985, he has taught over 13,000 classes, owned studios, and created Avita Yoga. Jeff Bailey is an expert at restoring joint health. He has helped thousands overcome pain and return to their favorite activities. He leads Avita workshops and retreats across the U.S. and beyond and has graduated hundreds through his annual Avita Teacher Training program. His innovative method repurposes muscles to cleanse joints and strengthen bones, enabling many to avoid and recover from joint replacements. A severe ski accident at age fifty led him to discover that joints thrive on compression, which healed his hip and inspired the creation of Avita Yoga.
