Get to Know the Founder of Avita, Jeff Bailey

Jeff’s life has been devoted to yoga since 1985. He’s taught over 13,000 classes and workshops, owned studios, and created Avita Yoga—a method that has helped thousands restore joint health, reduce pain, and avoid surgery. Jeff’s approach repurposes the muscles to cleanse the joints and strengthen bones, offering a revolutionary alternative to conventional fitness that targets the root causes of arthritis, degeneration, and limited mobility.

At 50, a high-speed ski accident left Jeff with severe hip damage and facing a replacement. That experience revealed a key truth: joints crave compression. This insight became the foundation of Avita. A trained Rolfer, Jeff now leads retreats, trains teachers, appears on podcasts, and is the author of The Yoga Mind and the upcoming Mobility For Life. Now in his sixties, Jeff—and many of his students—are living proof that healing and mobility are possible at any age.
